Soroptimist is an international organization for business and professional women who work to improve the lives of women and girls, in local communities and throughout the world. Over 80,000 Soroptimists in about 120 countries and territories volunteer time and contribute financial support to community–based and international projects that benefit women and girls.

 

Locally, Soroptimist International of Marysville-Yuba City has been making a difference in our community since 1929 when the Marysville-Yuba City club was founded. Soroptimist women have made contributions ranging from the first service project which established a scholarship fund to assist worthy girls in completing their education in 1929, to the current focus of supporting the Dream It Be It and Live Your Dream programs.

 

Our mission is to improve the lives of women and girls, in local communities and throughout the world. In order to accomplish this goal, the organization administers several international programs and grants.
