“Ten years ago, I retired from the State, was somewhat new to the area and was looking for a charity that did not require a lot of time but made an impact in our community. I was at a Soroptimist fundraiser and asked members questions about the club. I went to the next meeting and enjoyed the camaraderie among the women and the wonderful projects they had planned. I became a Soroptimist that very day, have been very active in the club and have become very good friends with many of it's members. The members are also very active in the community and I have felt more welcomed and connected to it because of them”
